Someone I love once loved someone.
Everything that I call mine was once not mine.
My love has seen similar efforts, feelings & emotions,
when it called someone else it's love.

Love has been here before.
Love has done this dance before.
Love has tried before &
Love has failed before.

But, what makes me feel so sure
That this love is worth fighting for?
Why does my love still feel new and exciting?
Why does this light still keep shining?

Love doesn’t feel apart,
when it loves with all its heart.
Love feels like a fresh start,
the way it blurs the past.

Knowing that my love is “the one”,
It doesn’t matter that someone I love once loved someone.
